Settling in

The house

Arrival details, including the key code, come through in your message the day before you arrive.

Check in
From 3.00 pm
Check out
By 11.00 am. Strip the beds if you have a minute, leave the linen in the laundry.
Wi-Fi
Network Sea Salt Wifi. The password is on the card by the TV and in your arrival message.
Parking
Carport and driveway. Two cars fit comfortably.
Bathrooms
Main bathroom with a bath and shower, a separate toilet, and a second shower and toilet off the laundry.
Aircon & fans
Both remotes sit next to the mirror in the living room.
Track lighting
The two switches beside the TV run the track lights over the wall art.
Security cameras
Three cameras cover the entrances, for security. None in the garden or yard, and none inside, anywhere.
The gym
In the garage, yours to use. Loaded barbells and free weights — please keep younger kids out unless someone's with them, and rack the plates when you're done.
Laundry
The washing machine is a dryer as well — one machine, both jobs.
Smoker & grill
A multi-level charcoal smoker and an electric grill, out the back. Charcoal is yours to bring. Let the smoker go cold before you empty it, and not into the bin the same night.
Fire pit
By the deck. Check the RFS site for fire bans before you light it — they apply to the smoker too — and drown it properly before bed.
Dogs
Welcome inside. Off the beds and off the couch, please. Treats are in the kitchen and there's a box of toys in the garden.
Smoking
Outside only, and please take the butts with you.

Feeding everyone

Kitchen & coffee

The kitchen is stocked for a full house. Salt, pepper, oil and the basics are in the pantry, and there are coffee beans and enough for the first breakfast — use them, they're for you.

  • Dishwasher
  • Air fryer
  • Smoothie maker
  • Microwave
  • Toaster
  • Sandwich press
  • Bean grinder
  • French press

Dishwasher tablets are under the sink. Please run it before you leave — it's the one thing that makes the changeover work.

Making the coffee

  1. Switch the grinder on at the wall.
  2. Press up to set the amount, then press on again to grind. About fifteen seconds gives you two large cups.
  3. Tip the grounds into the french press and fill with hot water.
  4. Wait five minutes, plunge slowly, pour.

Using the oven

  1. Check the hotplate switch on the wall is on. The digital screen should light up.
  2. Press the on button.
  3. Slide the bottom part of the screen up to bring up timer, light and fast preheat.
  4. Tap fast preheat, then select the temperature you want.
  5. Press play.

If the screen is dark, it's the wall switch. It catches everyone the first time.

Eurobodalla Shire

Whichever of the yellow or green went out last time, this week it's the other one. If you're not sure, look at what the neighbours have out.
